British Baseball Federation

Weather can produce all types of risks to playing on a scheduled date (even from the night before, as the fields may still not be playable). The safety of players and fans is our utmost priority. Some severe weather conditions may require you to suspend the game and/or seek shelter. In the instance a game or practise is suspended because of severe weather conditions, you must clear the field immediately and move to an area which is deemed safe (e.g., avoid shelter under a tree, avoid contact with metal or other electrical conducting materials).

Before the start of a game the home team determines whether to suspend and reschedule a game. Once the game starts the umpires make the call as to whether to suspend or call the game.
